Organized by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT Global Outreach) with the goal of strengthening technology- and innovation-focused collaborations between Europe and Brazil, the OPEN: Brazil 2025 Immersion Lab program was attended by Craftgate — one of the Turcorn100 Program candidates — with the support of the Turcorn100 Program, in São Paulo and Campinas between 19–24 October. As part of the program, a 20-person delegation consisting of 10 startups and 10 program managers from different European countries spent five days on-site, examining the Brazilian entrepreneurship ecosystem from multiple angles.

Regarding Brazil’s technology and innovation ecosystem, comprehensive information was shared on startups operating in different verticals within Cubo Itaú, entrepreneurship and acceleration centers, the investor ecosystem, European startups that have succeeded in Brazil, company formation processes, tax and legal regulations, marketing approaches, and business culture. In addition, in the Campinas region — often referred to as the “Silicon Valley” of the ecosystem — site visits were carried out to CNPEM, PUCC, Unicamp, CPQD, and the Sirius particle accelerator, enabling in-depth observations through the genchi genbutsu (“go and see, understand on-site”) approach.

The outcomes obtained from this carefully designed and highly productive program are intended to be reflected in relevant policy and support mechanisms. It is planned to maintain regular engagement with EIT Global Outreach and stakeholders in Brazil, to repeat mutual visits, and to continue similar acceleration programs and matchmaking activities in the coming period with an expanded scope. In this context, work will continue on pilot initiatives, PoC processes, joint acceleration calls, and investor meetings that will facilitate access of Türkiye’s scaling technology startups to Latin American and other markets.
